Good News! The class begins at 9:00 AM for the whole week because there will be a practice or tryout at 7:30 to 9:00 AM. That means, I don't need to wake up at 5:00 in the morning! YEY!
I taught the class of 7-B and my lesson is all about Profit and Loss. After that, I interviewed Ma'am Madaresita about the Pedagogical Content of the school.

Teaching Methods:
Ma'am Madaresita already mentioned the methods they usually used. In curriculum 2013, they use several methods like Scientific Method ( Observing, Questioning, Collecting Information, Associating, and Communicating), Discovery/ Inquiry, Project – based learning, Problem - based learning and Genre - based text. Each of them has the phase.
Learning Materials and Innovation:
The school has a lot of facilities that caters the needs of the students and also of the teachers –library, computer laboratories, and so on. They also have internet connections and they also provide projectors and speakers. Some teachers are innovative in presenting their lessons like they use PowerPoint presentation and they also have performance task and sometimes they use the speakers especially for the art and music class. But some teachers are still traditional in presenting their lesson.
Sources of Learning and technology:
The textbooks including the Learner’s Module and the Teacher’s Module are provided by the government. This shows that the Indonesian Government has a big support when it comes to the services provided by education department, particularly the needs of the learners and one of that is the technology. Also, you will notice that their textbooks, except in English subject, are written in Bahasa Indonesia.
Aside from textbooks, they are also innovative in some ways. They have internet connections and sometimes they also use the internet for their sources. The school also provide computer laboratories and libraries for the enrichment of the lesson.
Authentic Assessment:
The school also provides a lot of opportunities for students. They measure students not only in cognitive but also to other skills. Aside from paper and pencil test, there are also tasks for students to perform and a rubric by which their performance on the task will be evaluated.
