January

"Mohon Maaf, Saya datang terlambat" (Sorry I came late). Today is my Welcome ceremony I feel guilty because I was late. The ceremony should start at 6:30 AM but it started at around 7 AM. But it's okay according to Ma'am.

Since today is Monday, there will be a flag ceremony. The National Ceremony in Indonesia lasts for 40 minutes  At first, I was a bit surprised because in the Philippines, the Flag Raising Ceremony only takes about 20-30 minutes. There were moments when I had to raise my right hand and salute while they sing their National Anthem. I feel fascinated of the marches and the ceremonial activities, you can feel their discipline and their patriotism.

After the flag ceremony, the headmaster of the school awarded the winners of the competitions outside the school like Taekwondo and Swimming. Afterwards, the school welcomed me together with the exchanged students from the Lab School in Jakarta. The school welcomed us with their traditional music and dances.
